Anna Maria Mühe

The successful young actress has received several international awards already. In 2003, Anna Maria Mühe was honoured as best actress at the Festival International de Cine las Palmas de Gran Canaria for her role in “Big girls don’t cry”. For her turn in the box office success “What use is love when it’s but a thought” she received the best actress award at the Copenhagen film festival in 2004. In 2006, she was awarded the “golden camera” as best young talent and in 2007 the „udine award“ as the best teenaged actress in a television drama. Anna Maria Mühe starred in many television films, including “Dolphin Summer” (director: Jobst Oetzmann), “My evil friend” (director: Maris Pfeiffer) and “A late view” (director: Sylvia Hoffmann). Together with Heike Makatsch, she starred as the lead in the 2007 feature film “Sister Dearest” (director: Ed Herzog) and in “We say “Du”! Honey” (director: Mark Meyer). In 2008, she was involved in international productions like the feature film „The Countess“ with Julie Delpy  and William Hurt as well as “Task Force Leipzig – The Bill” and also, directed by Til Schweiger, in the German feature film “A knight and a half”. In November of last year, she was in cinemas with the drama “November Child” (director: Christian Schochow) and was nominated for the German Feature Film Awards as best actress. In spring 2011, the feature film “In the real world you are scared”, directed by Hans W. Geißendörfer, hits cinemas. In it, Anna Maria Mühe plays the female lead next to Max von Thun.
