Marc Rensing, born in 1974 in Gronau, became a member of Film Workshop Münster after his social service in 1995, working as an assistant director, editor and boomer. After creating several short films by himself, he began to study directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, focusing on scenic film. Since 2005, the 36-year old has been working as a director and writer. His short film „Everyting is alright“ was honoured, amond others, with the producer award from Sehnsüchte Potsdam in 2005 and a nomination in the category „Best Film 60 minutes or less” at the First Step Awards. In 2009, Marc Rensing gave his long film debut with “Parkour”, which was selected to open the 43rd International Film Days in Hof and received the Eastman-Development Grant for young talent 2009 and the MFG-Star 2009. “Parkour” will air in this year’s season of “Debut on Channel Three” on SWR.
