apollon
The apollon-blog was founded by Manuel Berg in 2010. The internet activist died in 2014 during the Cologne Riot at a protest against the Federal Criminal Agency’s Cologne field office. Other activists, among them Mila and Andreas, took over the blog and kept its name in memory of Manuel Berg. A modern activist network in 2017, apollon organises campaigns against the increasing control of the internet. On their website, the movement presents its demands and articles against the planned resolutions of the imminent 2017 EU summit.
apollon is a group of many tonalities: Andreas is looking for action, his writings are characterized by rebellion and outrage. Mila is very different. She is analytical and tries to meet journalistic standards in her writings.
apollon is a forum. It is here that reports from all over the world converge that are increasingly affected by fear and surveillance. And it is here that the resistance against the surveillance society and the EU summit in Stuttgart found its base.
